How are the Team Leaders Selected?

Team Leader position will be elective position. Members will vote for their team leaders. The team leader should be committed and knowledgeable on the services offered by the RRH, or his/her job should be directly in-line with the services of RRH.

The Team leaders will keep the group on-task; provide guidance during meetings; and be a liaison between the community and the RRH.

What is the Frequency of Meetings?

-          The sections meetings will be held every second Wednesday of the month at 1100hrs EAT/1000hrs SAST.

-          The overall meeting will be held once every three months – preferably on the second Thursday of the month at 1100hrs EAT/1000hrs SAST.

 

What are the Roles of Data Providers?

-          Continuously review the data in the RRH and identify the gaps that need to be filled.

-          Provide the protected and conserved areas data for their countries

-          Champion for RRH in their countries and institutions

What are the Roles of RRH Users?

-          Advice the hub on the kind of information and products that are required by the users

-          Use the RRH data in national reporting to the conventions and internally.

-          Champion for RRH in their countries and institutions

 

What are the Benefits of being a Community of Practice member?

Membership to the RRH community of practice shall be voluntary and non-remunerable but members can benefit as follows:

-          The members of the community of practice shall receive a membership certificate, bearing the logo of the RRH and those of the implementing partners. The membership certificate will be recognized by the RRH partner organizations and projects thus contribute to the growth of the members.

-          The members of the community of practice will be given the first priority whenever the training opportunities come up.

-          The members will get the opportunity to learn from each other, and from the best practices in the RRH.

-          Members will be recommended to other initiatives by RRH whenever the opportunities come up.

-          Outstanding members will be sponsored to take part in planned RRH activities.

Is RRH Staff and Partner Organization member able to Join Community of Practice?

 

The staff of RRH and partner organizations will be given an opportunity to join the preferred section of the community of practice and contribute to its growth.
